Made to be played with

Every design leaves the printer as a finished toy — it clips together without tools, drops straight onto the wooden track, and links up with the trains already in the toy box.

Practical add-ons

Small prints that extend the layout

The most-printed pieces here aren't the flagship trains — they're the little functional parts: a track switch, a car wash, a container garage, a buffer stop. Each one prints in a single sitting and drops straight onto the track you already own. Want something running tonight? Start here.

02 / Makers & sellers

Two ways to use this library

Same models, two very different situations. The line between them is simple: printing for yourself is free, selling prints needs a licence.

For players & families

You print for yourself

Download, print, run. That's the whole workflow.

  • Free. Every model is downloadable on MakerWorld at no cost.
  • Your own layout, your kids' layout, gifts — all fine without any paperwork.
  • Requests welcome: want a vehicle that doesn't exist yet? Send a message.
For sellers & business

You sell printed models

Selling physical prints of these designs requires a commercial licence. Two ways to get one:

  • Fastest: buy the commercial licence directly on MakerWorld, from the designer profile.
  • Or write to me: business enquiries, bulk licences and custom vehicle requests by email.
  • Licence holders get clear written terms — no ambiguity about what you may sell.
Not sure which side you're on? If you're printing for yourself, for your kids, or as a gift — you don't need a licence at all. Just download and print.

The questions that come up most

Will these run on my track?

If your track is BRIO, IKEA LILLABO, or any other brand using the same gauge, yes. Coupling is by Ø8 × 3 mm disc magnets in N/S orientation, so cars link in either direction and mix freely with the trains you already own.

Do I need an AMS, or supports?

Most models are designed to print without either, and every listing states explicitly what it needs. If a model does need supports, it's written on the listing rather than left for you to discover.

Can I sell prints of these models?

Yes — with a commercial licence. The fastest way is to buy it directly on MakerWorld from the designer profile. For business enquiries, bulk licensing or custom vehicle work, email superwen1986@hotmail.com.

Which printer were they tested on?

Bambu Lab A1 mini with a 0.4 mm nozzle — 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15% infill. Anything that fits on an A1 mini will also print on a larger machine.

Can I rescale or recolour them?

Yes. Print in whatever filament you have, or scale the parts up or down. Just remember that scaling changes the coupler height, so check the magnet pockets still line up with your track's other cars before printing a whole rake.

Why are the models named the way they are?

Model names describe the vehicle type rather than the operator, and brand names only ever appear in the form "compatible with". It keeps the library tidy to search, and it keeps every listing on the safe side of the platform's rules.

Where do I download them?

Everything is published on MakerWorld — that's where the files live and where new models appear first. Follow the account there and you'll see new releases as they land.

04 / Design requests

Tell me what train to build next

Most models here started as somebody's request. Missing a vehicle — or does the person with the crayons have opinions? Send it over.

A three-year-old's crayon train is a perfectly good brief.

  • 1Any form works. A sketch, a photo, a few words.
  • 2I'll tell you straight if it can print support-free on an A1 mini.
  • 3If it works, it gets built — free on MakerWorld, credit if you'd like it.

Ideas go straight to me superwen1986@hotmail.com No form, no account — think it, send it.

Pick a train, print it tonight, run it tomorrow.

New rolling stock and scenery get published regularly. If there's a particular train you'd like to see on the track, send a message — requests usually go to the front of the queue.
